The Best Cities In Europe

By James Stewart

The best cities in Europe will depend on individual preference. It will also depend on what a person wants to see and the length of time they will be staying. For example, some places have enough sites to see for a week or two. These places include, Sofia, Paris, London, Florence, and Rome. Places to visit for less than a week include Nice, Goteborg, Amsterdam, Vienna, Cambridge and Venice.

London, England is a favorite among travelers. It has something for everyone. There are quirky museums, The London Eye, the Tower of London, and of course Big Ben. There is also a tour (for more adventurous individuals)around the Whitechapel district where "Jack the Ripper" committed several murders in 1888.

Paris, France is arguably the most romantic city in the world. It has 42 million tourists every year, making it the most visited city around the world. There are 3,700 historical monuments to see. The Fall and Spring usually have comfortable days and comfortable nights while Summer days are hot. Winter is typically cold, but the temperatures usually do not fall below freezing during the day.

Amsterdam (in the Netherlands) is a very important cultural place to visit. They host about 75 festivals every year. They also feature many historical monuments, beautiful canals, and several famous museums. Each district in and around Amsterdam has it's own personality. Some districts have sophisticated, modern architecture, while others make a person feel like they are in a time warp.

Goteborg, Sweden, is a beautiful little town located in South West Sweden. They have large, beautiful gardens with interesting plants. Goteborg has low fares and cheap accommodations. It is also home of Scandinavia's biggest amusement park, making it perfect for families.

As mentioned before, the best cities in Europe are determined by how long individuals are staying and what attractions they wish to see. There is amazing places all over that offer something for everyone.
