Non-Lethal Self Defense Products For Protection

By Rob A Breay

Lots of criminals lurked around the corner in the fearful neighborhood where I lived when I was little, but they never harmed us. Still, it was not good for one not to worry because they could eventually change that mindset.

Eventually I moved out of the place. However, my fright was still there, especially when there was a crowd around, because I felt I could not trust them.

One day, one of my friends had told me about the non-lethal self defense products that she uses - she came from the same background as I did. I was in awe upon seeing the things that she had. There were pepper sprays and stun guns, personal alarms and home alarms. It seemed like we had a stock of ammo in our hands.

It was after that encounter that I began to bring a dog repellent spray, nap alarm for drivers and other non-lethal self defense products myself. My strength would never be enough to fight off the bad guys, and even if I had to, I do not think I have much of it anyway.

I eventually learned to trust some people and one became my husband. When we reminisce of the past, we always laughed about how paranoid I was and how scared he was considering I had a bag of non-lethal self defense products with me always.

Thankfully, I never had the chance to encounter criminals, but to this day, I still keep some non-lethal self defense products in my bag. I was still a little paranoid that I had to buy a Taser C2 and lipstick pepper spray for my daughter who is going to college.

Her weapons like a travel alarm and cell phone stun gun did not become necessary to use, thank goodness, but there was this one time that she just had to get her pepper spray and use it against her date.

It may not be that these items like pepper sprays, personal alarms and stun guns are safe and sometimes friendly-looking but they actually are dangerous to attackers. Take my word for it, that is, from what happened with my daughter.
