Starting A Blog

By Tom Jones

'How to create a blog' is a question that is asked by many internet users. Nowadays we'll see how to create a blog employing various supports offered across the internet.
A blog is a journal that is readily available on the web. The activity of updating a blog is known as 'Blogging' and the person who maintains a blog is known as a 'blogger'. You do not need technical knowledge to start or update your blog. In fact, anyone one could create his/her blog to share their sights, experiences and knowledge on a regular basis.

Here are the steps on how to create a blog:

1. pick the subject for your blog i.e. the subject in which you have a lot of experience or knowledge, you wish to share. The subject must be interesting, in order to attract readers.

2. Select the type of Blogging company you want. There are a variety of free Blogging supports like blogger.com, MSN space, Yahoo 360, Word Press, Xanga, LiveJounal etc. There are also servicess that charge a fee for offering Running a blog services. Among them are GoDaddy, Dreamhost, 1and1, etc. These Running a blog services charge a fee as low as $30, a year. The only difference is that the paid blogging programs assign a unique area to the user's blog (eg. mydomainblog.com). But in free Blogging services, you will not have your own area name (eg mydomainblog.Blogging.com). So, if in the long term, you wish to move your blog to your own area, you won't be able to redirect the traffic to your own area as you were not in control of the website.

3. We'd instead focus on creating a free blog. Once you select any of the above services, you have to create an account that will enable you to create your own blog.

4. Opt for the layout of your blog from the wide array of web templates offered by the blogging website.
5. Insert buttons, remark boxes, etc to your blog and set up your blog accordingly.
6. Decide whether you want your blog to be community or private.

5. Insert buttons, comment bins, etc to your blog and set up your blog accordingly.
6. Decide whether you want your blog to be open public or private.

8. Spread the word as a result of sociable Networking websites such as facebook, Twitter, Yahoo Plus, etc to boost the traffic.
