Use Of Technological Innovation Like Mobile Surveillance Equipment To Catch Criminals

By Valry C Dorah

I became a victim of a break-in a few months ago. In the time the crime, one of my neighbors noticed a guy leaving our home. Sadly, he could not provide identifying information since it was dark when he spotted the guy.

It struck me that if I had security cameras set up throughout the house, I could have been able to recognize the intruder for a police investigation. Whenever I voiced this worry to my sibling, he suggested that I obtain a complete portable digital video security system.

Seeing the sense in his idea, I went about searching for one on the internet. Upon browsing the world wide web, I chanced on security cameras on offer at bulk cost. So, I grabbed the opportunity and purchased six of those.

The next step was to look for a way to record digitally just what the monitoring cameras would see. On that, I was made familiar with a DVR system when I went to my sibling and he boasted his home security steps to me.

While looking for a recording system, I ran across a multi-channel, standalone DVR. What impressed me most was its portability, which means that I could transfer it around at my convenience. The one which I checked out could support around eight wired and wireless cameras.

Browsing through its functions even more, I found that it had been installed together with software that allowed me to connect it online. In this way, I can see video feeds anywhere I am. I found this quite suitable for my situation considering that I am usually away for business.

The DVR system is embedded in a durable Pelican case, which makes it resistant against damages. I also appreciate that it can perform multiple functions such as playback, remote monitoring via the Web and also recording all at the same time.

I do believe that obtaining a complete portable digital video security system was a good move on my part. The next time that my property is targeted, I feel that there will be a bigger chance of me bringing the criminal to justice.
