Find Internet Marketing Success with a Kick Butt To-do List

By Victorino Lazardo

Increasing your productivity as an Internet marketer is all about knowing how to get organized in the best possible way so that you get things done on time. In this article we'll teach you how to create your to-do list in a way that automatically increases your level of productivity.

List Things You're Not Supposed to Do: A great way to shine a new light on the usual to-do list is including all of the things that you are not supposed to be doing. But how does that help you? It can help you focus on those things that need to be done and not on those that don't. To use one example, let's say that you are in the habit of checking your e-mail all the time; this can be a major distraction and keep you from finishing your to-do list. Include a line in your list that says "check email twice a day" and if you stick to it, cross it off of your list at the end of the day. The real truth is that it's easy to let your focus get distracted by other things which can eat up your productivity and you need to minimize this as much as possible.

It is really easy to get distracted when you aren't focused on taking regular action and that means that the majority of your to-do list might be left untouched at the end of your day. Finding good motivation and the enthusiasm for success is important if you want to be able to overcome this problem. Finishing the hard stuff before moving on to the easy stuff is a great way to build up this motivation. That's right: list them at the top of your list and then tackle them as soon as you start your day. Because productivity levels and energy levels are highest at the start of your day the hard task will seem simple. And knowing that you've taken care of the worst already, you'll automatically take off the burden off your chest - giving you the motivation to move through the rest of the tasks on your list. Add Tasks to Your List, Not Goals: Perhaps the reason that most Internet Marketers fail to finish their to-do lists is because they start to feel overwhelmed. This usually happens when you add tasks that are big enough to be goals. Your to-do list needs to be made up of doable tasks that can help you actually achieve your end goals. These tasks should be small enough that you can actually achieve them fairly quickly so that you can know beyond the shadow of a doubt that you are moving ahead so that you can reach your objective. You need to make sure, too, that your tasks are clear and not murky. For example, "Get More Leads" is vague so it isn't really a task, but "Call 5 Prospects" is a task that is clear and easily achievable.

Have a Separate Section to Write Down Your Ideas: It's really common, while you're working through your to-do list, to get ideas for tasks that will feel like they should be taken care of right now.

After you've applied these hints and tips you will see that making a to-do list isn't just about taking action, it's also about staying organized.
