Tips On How To Dress Well Even If You're On A Tight Budget

By Carla Turkelton

You don't have to dig deep in your pocket just to dress well like a celeb. Here are some tips you can consider:

The first thing you need to do is know your own style and your own figure. Don't follow trends that don't suit you. On models like Kate Moss, most clothes would look great but on us normal women, the effects are usually not the same. Try to remember the items you bought on impulse last season. And you did not even wear them!

When you look at your closet, make a list of things you really want to keep and you already have. Then make a list of the things that you really want and do you have. Helping to keep you focused and minimizing costly impulse buying is when you buy from a list.

You should also purchase the best quality of accessories and clothes that you are able to afford. Not only will these look better, they will also wash better, wear less, and last longer and as a result, you will save more money than buying lots of inferior-quality pieces that will only last a few wears.

Suits, dresses, coats, and other big items should be classic in style. Unlike clothes bought from the latest trends, these won't date as much and will stand the test of time. For smaller items like accessories and bags, you can look up to date if you buy the trendiest and most fashionable ones.

Whenever possible, buy items on sale. Just a few months after the celebs, you can have the same piece for half or even less money. If it's just for a few months, then nobody will tell you it's out of fashion. You can grab yourself some really good bargains on the last few days' of the sales in large department stores. If you are Internet savvy, then you can buy items online or on auction sites.

If your best friends have good tastes, then you can swap small items like bags and hats with them. Spending a lot of money on items you will only be using once isn't necessary but it will be embarrassing if you wear the same clothes to your important parties. Why not share with your friends instead?

Dressing doesn't mean you have to spend a fortune. If you take a little time and a bit of thought to plan for your need, and treat buying your clothes like an investment.
