Almost all food around the world have relishes added to make them more delicious. For food with Spanish or Mexican origins, gluten free salsa is used. This certain relish, particularly those created at home, are actually varied from those you can find in grocery shelves.

The said condiment is created from pepper, tomato, cilantro, onions, salt, and pepper. Juice from lemons or vinegar are added to provide an acidic taste. This mixture is cooked sometimes. The tomatoes can be blanched as well. Usually, however, it is served without some heat.

Like the other condiments which are classified as such, this particular condiment can be used for various reasons. In the early days, it was one method of preserving tomatoes. It also preserves its nutrients. This is other than being utilized for seasoning food.

Today, this is still utilized as a food flavoring. Also, it is intended as a dip for delicious tortilla chips. It can also be combined along with cheese dip so you make a snack dip that is tasty. It also serves as a condiment.

Usually, the base ingredient for the sauce is tomato, but other fruits and vegetables may be utilized. Mango is a popular fruit used along with the other ingredients, save for tomatoes. Another interesting variation is the use of peach. Black beans or maybe corn may be added to this mixture.

Even with the variations, a common denominator is using hot peppers. However, the person cooking determines the hotness of the whole mixture. The spiciness ranges from mild to volcanic types of the mixture.

Certain Mexican restaurants might be able to offer you gluten free salsa. Some will have the tomatoes roasted before this is added to the rest of the mixture. Others will have the onions fried. Still, others will use certain varieties of hot peppers like banana peppers instead of the traditional jalapeno. Some will also serve a thicker sauce while others serve a smooth variety.
