There are lot of wrestling fans that you can find in and around the world but there are very few of them who actually know how it started. The beginning marks way back in 1925 when Roderick McMahon began promoting boxing matches in the city of New York. He came to acknowledge Joseph Mondt, who was a professional wrestler and was making effort to take sports to another level. He made out new moves, found wrestlers that wanted to join him and started making wrestling a more viewable sport.
Both of them later formed a Capitol Wrestling Corporation also known as CWC, which later became today's WWE. It was 1993 when then joined the National wrestling Alliance when they gave more legitimacy to the business. It was also later joined by Vincent McMahon which made sure that a McMahon will always be at the head of the business or company. The company soon witnessed the largest booking at the National Wrestling Alliance with a significant number. After few years it began aired their first wrestling show on television.

So the NWA decided to let the Buddy Rogers, CWC's wrestler to participate in the championship. He won the NWA world heavy weight Championship. However, Mondt did not like Rogers to fight outside the North east as it was the region which the CWC controlled.
Both McMahon and Mondt want him to defend his title, but being the title holder Roger had to choices either to defend the title or to pay 25,000. In which roger chose to defend the title and ultimately lost the battle. This made McMahon and Mondt upset and they decide to leave NWA. This made the creation of the new wrestling corporation, World Wide Wrestling Federation or WWWF.
Later Vincent McMahon became the only head of the WWWF in 60's just after the retirement of Mondt. McMahon was also one of the board of directors of the NWA, also there were several matches held between the NWA and the WWWF champions. However, most of the matches ended without showing any results.
After few years it was the company's name was again changed to World wrestling federation or the WWF and it came completely under the control of Vincent J McMahon. The following year his son brought in the Titan Sports and along with it he also bought Capitol Sports and its assets which included WWF too. Vincent j McMahon wanted to keep focusing the WWF towards the north-eastern region, his son wanted to do something else and he started expanding WWF.
McMahon was later found to hire Hulk Hogan and many other wrestlers and started selling the WWF television shows to several stations and on VHS outside the north-eastern territory. WWF got a great response from the viewers and it made a lot of publicity, but they also caught up in the conflicts with the NWA and other wrestling promoters. It began happening especially when McMahon started taking wrestlers from different groups. Despite of all the chaos it was McMahon's efforts that created the WWF which is today known as WWE or the World Wrestling Entertainment. It changed the way people enjoyed sports and made huge success in entertainment world.
