This secret comes in the form of an archipelago, called Haida Gwaii, which is fast becoming popular with tourists. Before you book your Haida Gwaii accommodations however, it is best to know a little more about the various activities that can be had on the specific island chain.

One of the prime reasons why this archipelago is becoming a tourist attraction is it is one of the best, if not the best place to go whale watching the whole year round. Many enthusiasts, curious tourists, scientists and students come here throughout the year to view several whale species which include the humpback whale, the gray whale and the killer whale. Depending on the season, one can more or less can have frequent sightings per hour. It is thus best to do a little more research when wanting to see the most of the whales at any one time.

This can take the form of hiking or biking up and down the many trails or you can just choose to camp on one of the many camping grounds available.
