Quilt Show Campground KY Is It Easy Or Hard

By Pamela Bell

Welcome to the wonderful world of puff demonstrates. Did you know there is an easy way and a hard way to shop a puff demonstrate? We've been a vendor at puff demonstrates for many years now and we have some tips that will help you enjoy puff demonstrates even more than you do now! (If you can believe that is possible!) The following article will take us trough the theme Quilt Show Campground KY shopping tips.

Serve refreshments. After a leisurely stroll through your exhibition space what better way for your patrons to conclude their than with a cup of tea or coffee and a slice of homemade cake. By putting out a call to your school community for donations of freshly baked cakes, cookies, brownies and other sweet items, the proceeds will be almost all profit.

Children's Art Exhibition. Enlist the support of the school and its teaching staff to have every child creates an individual masterpiece to be exhibited en masse in conjunction with your puff show. An effective display could be based on a class by class theme by subject, color or media. Parents and care could be offered first option to purchase the artworks a day or two before the Quilt demonstrate opens.

I thought how that could be. I cut out 5-inch squares, sewed them using a 5/8 inch seam (this was before I found out about the 1/4 inch seams most experienced puffers use). Each block looked square to me. So my solution was to take in a section of the puff at the top and put a dart into it. Kinda like putting in a dart in clothes, to make everything fit right.

Raffle A Puff. Organize members of your school community to volunteer their time to create a community puff. Whether it is hand stitched or machine pieced by enlisting many hands this can be a fun way for members to get together to create something wonderful which can be raffled or auctioned during the show. Use a simple pattern or give simple guidelines.

It's also a good idea when traveling to carry your thread, scissors, and other puffing supplies for projects, or pieces of sample fabrics for matching embellishments for example, in clear plastic, zippered cosmetic cases. This is so convenient and inexpensive; you could use one case for each project to refer to while at your favorite puff demonstrates. Also, you know how to respect your puff vendors.

Children or grandchildren should not handle the vendor's merchandise since little ones can make alphabet soup out of appliques and turn white doilies brown with dirty hands. If you're waiting in a long line, it might be a good idea to use cash instead of a credit card. Credit cards take longer to process and can hold you up. A lot of vendors also accept checks.

Recent years have seen a break from traditional puffing, so it might be possible to see a metallic, leopard print puff hanging from the walls! The main reason to have a puff show is so that the puffers can show off all their pretty creations. If you are ever able to go to one, then it would be well worth it to see all the skilled handiwork. Looking at the handmade puffs is a real treat.
