By Lisa Brooks

Have you ever thought of trying to make the paper beads? Well, if not, then you should try it someday. For this project, you will not spend much and in fact, you can spend all the recycled materials in your house. Some of these materials will include magazines or old emails. Other essentials will be the glue and toothpicks. Keep reading to know how to do this exactly.

Well as indicated above, you need to find the right supplies if you are to succeed in making this a success. Some of the obvious materials can be found in the house. You can take that old magazine and that old mail. If you do not have any of this roaming around your home, you can use the normal writing sheet or the hardcovers.

The second thing on the supply list will be the writing sheet cutter among other items. The sheet cutter will be crucial in cutting the shapes you want. In addition, you will have to look for toothpicks, glue stick, clear nail polish. All these are items that you can find in the house or borrow from the neighbors for that project to be cheap.

Get the sheet magazine and cut them into strips. You will be required to cut the sheet into half or even into quarter pieces with regard to the size of the paper. Well, after you are done with this, cut the sheet into diagonal shapes so that you get that triangular shape from the strips. Proceed to the following step.

Take your glue and your toothpick. Well, this is the stage where you will have to be very careful or else you will end up having too much glue on your hands that you will mess the whole project. Take one sheet strip and a toothpick. Roll the paper on the toothpick and apply glue on the open side. Roll it all around the toothpick in such a way that you get a circular shape. Remove the toothpick and place the sheet roll on the table.

The other step will include sealing the pellets. This is where the nail polish comes into play. After removing the toothpick, apply nail polish onto the writing sheet bead that you just finished. This nail polish will act as a seal just in case water splashes on the beads. If you do not coat the bead, make sure that the paper does not come into contact with water.

String the beads on a cord. Take ant string and the start putting the beads through the holes that the toothpick left. Well, you can string them in a certain order, one that will create a pattern or just put them according to your liking.

The final step will include creating several knots on the cord in order to allow the possibility of adjusting the size. Well, this will depend highly on the size of the owner and if it is for a kid, you will make fewer knots. You can now enjoy your necklace. You may look for these materials to use from big shops that are well equipped. By doing this you will be able to look for different kind of makes.
