One Way Link Building - A How To Guide

By Joe Sheppard

One way link building will enable you to increase the presence of your website in the search engines and as a result raise the authority and the traffic simultaneously. One way links is especially loved by Google so this article covers some methods that can be used to easily build one way links to your site.

Quality content that interest the masses is among the most effective to build one way links to your website. Even though it may seem simple it will require some work to develop the sort of content which keeps people returning to you for more. Eventually you're going to be viewed as an authority in your area for good content.

Another way for developing one way links is via using link bait. Link bait is simply the creation of content that's so good that webmasters can't help but provide a link to your content from their sites. Examples of this type of content include humor hooks, helpful applications or programs or just plain ole good original content that is unique to your website. That part of the guide to link building centered on creating content so other people would come to you for it. If you wish to go out and obtain your own links, article directories are the first great source of one-way links I'll address. Ezine itself is a good example of an article directory that's suitable for receiving link juice from. Just write an article and put a link in the resource box at the end directing back to your website. Just be sure the article directory provides DOfollow links as you'll find a few prominent ones available which do not. That isn't to say that you should overlook them totally, but you must entirely rely on them for traffic instead of link juice for your site.

Social bookmarking is an additional great way to get some quality link juice. Again search for the Dofollow tag. It could be an execllent source of traffic if you do not get the link juice, however. If you generate good content/link bait and share it over the major social sites then it might get picked up and reshared/tweeted/etc. again and again. This is called going "viral". It's what everybody wants to happen to their content since once everyone starts linking to it you won't only acquire tons of traffic but potentially tons of valuable link juice, as well.

Trackbacks or pingbacks are special links typically from one blog to another and they are produced when one blogger links to the website of another blogger. It's a way of acknowledging, thanking and acknowledging again the worth of the content created. If you post a lot of great content to your website other webmasters will detect it and create trackbacks to your content. The end result will be link juice and more traffic to your site.
