Perfect Holidays In The United Kingdom

Holidays in the United Kingdom can be just as much fun as any overseas break, although sunshine is not something that is a dead cert the choice of locations and prices of great value family breaks more than makes up for it.

For the best chance of good weather the south coast is the place to be, however the country as a whole has so much to offer it would be a shame to miss out on it just to have a sunny day at the beach.

For a chance of the best weather and some of the nicest beaches you will want to head south down to Devon and Cornwall or Dorset. In these counties you will find plenty of holiday parks that are nestled into lovely towns and countryside settings.

The holiday parks usually have an assortment of accommodations from static caravans through to wooden lodges. The caravans are great for family breaks on a budget and some of the lodges are perfect for family holidays with older children or couples. However holiday parks is not all the UK has to offer, if you want to take a break from the norm then why not look into staying in a renovated windmill or a purposes built luxury tree house.

Holiday parks are not just caravan based, there are two main companies that run a number of sites across the UK that offer more home from home accommodation but are still based in a large complex with plenty for the whole family to do.

Of course there are many traditional hotels around the country, but one of the best ways to holiday in the UK is to rent a cottage. These give you all the creature comforts that you are used to and can offer a quite retreat to those that do not wish to be over crowded by other holiday makers.

If you have a love for the prehistoric then a visit to the Dorset and East Devon coast is a must, here you will find one of UNESCO world heritage sites which starts at Orcombe Point, Exmouth in East Devon all the way to Old Harry Rocks near Swanage which is in East Dorset.

For an active holiday Wales, and especially North Wales, is the place to be. Here they have many locations that are specifically designed to cater for adventure type holiday from zip wires in the tree tops to white water rafting.

If all out relaxation and pampering is on the menu then booking into one of the many spas across the country is ideal, in most cases they are set in glorious grounds and gardens that can be explored at a very leisurely pace. For couples who want to escape and not have the noise of countless children screaming around there are hotels that are specifically adult only resorts.

The UK has something for everyone and every budget, so whether you crave the high life and want to be pampered or you simply want to get away with the family and enjoy some quality time together you can be sure to find something to suit your requirements.
