Exploring Cotswold In Better Way

By Bob Hop

The Cotswold region is one of the most beautiful parts of England. They are famous for the honey coloured Cotswold stone used for walls and buildings throughout the area. The Cotswolds are right in the heart of England.

Cotswold is one of England's most popular destinations. Attracting visitors from across the UK and the world. Its enchanting English landscape with rolling hills, ancient woodlands, striking viewpoints and honey-coloured stone buildings are what give this area its unique charm and appeal. People's opinions differ on the best way to see the Cotswolds and some swear that the only way to see it is by foot.

Things to keep in mind when planning a driving tour of the Cotswolds. Plan your own official tour. There are lots of tours of the Cotswolds available by coach. Ihe trouble with the tours though is that although you do not have to drive, you can also not establish your own time. If you plan a driving tour of the Cotswolds using your own car, then you have more access to little roads that a coach will not be able to get to. Expect to see some remarkable countryside, quaint villages and grand towns when you plan to drive along Cotswold. The town usually has its unique feature from each other. From its old fashioned feel to the ideal of the wool town that the Cotswolds area is famous for.

Book accommodation in advance during the high season. If you are touring around for only a few days, just book accommodation in one place as the towns are so close together and you won't need to keep packing up. Most of the larger towns will have hotels, youth hostels and bed and breakfast establishments. The Cotswolds are one of the nation's favourite destinations for weekend getaways and the counties through which these picturesque hills run are home to some charming bed and breakfasts.

Travel and tour off the season if you want to avoid the swathes of tourists, although the weather might be a bit more changeable, but this is the UK we're talking about. The Cotswolds would always have something for everyone, a romantic weekend for two or a family fun holiday. Lot's of space to relax or to let the children play around. Whatever your looking for may it be a pub lunch or a gourmet dinner there are plenty pubs and award winning restaurants in the nearby surrounding villages to dine in, you'll be overwhelmed with its choices.

Whatever you're looking for, a four-star, luxurious lakeside retreat on a lush, large area of land close to Oxford in the east, or whether you're after the more intimate setting of a rustic farmhouse close to Cirencester, or any of the idyllic villages close to the hills, then there are a number of reputable Cotswolds Bed and Breakfasts to provide that special element you're looking for. All of the Cotswolds bed and breakfast are with hospitality and high standard of service. Cotswold is really one of the most beautiful place in the world.
