Top Fashion Tips To Help You Dress Your Best

By Janet Timmons

Everyone wants to look their best. When you dress for success, you find success. This happens both because you are more confident in yourself and you get things done, but also because others are confident in you and your abilities. To learn more about how you can easily dress well, keep reading.

The most flattering clothes are ones that fit properly. Clothes that are too tight will put the spotlight on your body's flaws and clothes that are too loose will add the appearance of extra pounds. No matter what the style, color or material, clothes that are the right size will help you look great.

Spend money on your shoes. You may be tempted to buy shoes as cheaply as you can, especially if they look good. However, buying a quality pair of shoes means that they will last a long time and won't fall apart after just a few wearings. They are also made of better materials and are more comfortable on your feet.

Clean out your closet on a regular basis. The old saying "out with the old, in with the new" was never more applicable than in the world of fashion. Twice a year, go through your closet and donate those items that you haven't worn in a while. That way, you have room for more fabulous finds, and someone else is benefiting from your unneeded items.

When you are wearing a "little black dress" to work and you want to give it a different look for after work, think about pairing it with colorful shoes, a scarf or some nice jewelry. You can carry the accessories in your bag and throw them on before you leave work for the day.

There are many options out there for you when you are choosing hair accessories. Some hair accessories you can use are headbands, ponytail holders and things like hair extensions. You need hair accessories in your wardrobe. For example, if you want to look athletic, wear an athletic suit and a matching ponytail holder. If you're going out for the night, pick a headband that goes with the outfit you're wearing.

Fix the hem of your pants so they work with the style of shoes you plan to wear them with. Ideally, the hem of the pants should meet the top of the shoe, so the pants that look perfect with a pair of flats won't look right with a pair of heels.

You can ear white any time of the year that you would like. The old staple that one should never wear white after Labor Day is exactly that, old. There is no longer any such rule, and if you can keep your white clothes clean you are free to wear them at any time.

By now you should have many ideas of how to become more fashionable. Spend some time thinking about your fashion, don't let other things in life distract you.
