All of my life I have dreamed of being able to own my very own custom made motorcycle and take to the road with it, and I found myself amazed when I actually bought one, but I realized I needed to start looking into motorcycle trailers. I had spent so long talking my wife into letting me get a motorcycle, I had not given much thought to how I might get the motorcycle anywhere. We were going to take a family vacation to Oregon soon and I knew I would want to take my bike out there, but obviously, the whole family wouldn't be able to ride on the back of the bike across the country.
As I thought about where to look, I remembered that I had gotten a good trailer for my business as a landscaper, and they had all kinds of really nice trailers. I pulled up their website and discovered that not only did they have motorcycle trailers, but they had both flatbed and enclosed options for me to look at. I learned as much as I could online, but I really wanted to look at them in person before deciding on one.
The following weekend, I jumped in my truck and drove up to the trailer lot. While I was there, I checked out all of the different choices and tried to find which of the motorcycle trailers I should buy. The enclosed trailers were really nice, and they would offer more protection for my motorcycle, but the cost was quite a bit higher, and I was sure that my motorcycle could handle a bit of dust and weather.
I also spent a couple minutes looking at their dump trailers because I was contemplating making my business bigger and would need another trailer for it. After a little more consideration, I went back to the motorcycle trailers and made a final decision and chose a flatbed model trailer which was priced perfectly. A couple weeks later, when my wife and I were getting ready to head out on our summer vacation, I put my motorcycle on the trailer, hitched it up, and we were set to go.
We spent several days on the road, driving across the country, and whenever we would stop somewhere along the way, I would get out my motorcycle to take a little joy ride. While my family was out enjoying other pursuits, I would get on my motorcycle and go exploring, and I was thrilled with the wind in my face and the feeling of complete freedom.
