Online Network Marketing - How To Collect Revenue From Leads That Don't Join

By Andy G Smith

For many individuals starting a work-from-home business for the first time, the basics behind prospecting might be hugely misunderstood. Some business coaches do not really prepare their newly sponsored team members for this activity, which often results in rejection, upset and might even lead to representatives quitting their opportunity before they have even given it a chance.

Allow me to explain: Your primary goal must be to allow fellow home-based entrepreneurs to subscribe to your mailing list. Whilst you are developing your list of subscribers who are aiming to market their own opportunities, you will also be testing approaches for growing your own organisation online. During this process you will normally come across workbooks and programmes that may be of benefit to other home business builders.

There are a couple of good reasons for this reaction. First, a selection of the names on your list could be content with the life they currently have, or might not be driven enough to forgo the time and effort to improve their situation. Secondly, some names on your list will feel the necessity to discourage your desire to succeed so that they dont feel less worthy! Not everyone will do this consciously, but it human nature to choose to assoicate with individuals that are similar to you, so your drive to progress and excel might make people closest to you feel uncomfortable.

So what is the best way forward? The approach to success in your warm market could be to find a low-pressure approach tool that you can be happy using with ALL the names on your list. You must not expect a positive outcome from all the people you speak to, so you must aim to contact a significant number of individuals, giving them all an option to say 'no' if they are not interested in hearing about an opportunity.

Your pipeline could take a little commitment to initiate, but after it is up and working you can focus on responding to the messages from your hottest prospects. They say that in Multi-level Marketing 'the fortune is in the follow up' and your automated process will repeatedly follow up with every prospect until they are prepared to make a decision. The greatest part is that you will not have to subject yourself to rejection from individuals that aren't interested, as the interested prospects will make themselves aware to you!

The next strategy for generating profits from your leads is by writing your own information products. This is called a funded proposal method, where the product that you sell highlights your value as a future sponsor and mentor to the prospects on your list. If you develop a funded proposal method then your contacts actually pay to be your prospects, which in-turn generates an income stream to finance your ongoing marketing campaigns. These strategies are both worth incorporating as you improve your system for your Internet Network Marketing business, but will ideally be planned for from the outset.
