Effective Way Of Safeguarding Oneself When Out Walking Your Dog

By Phillup N Anderson

Having no family of my own, I leave it to my dog to keep me sane. I normally take him out for walks during the day as well as night. I thought that it was a good routine until a neighbor of mine got attacked in our area.

However, in no way was I going to stop walking my dog. I decided to arm myself with a self-defense weapon instead, choosing from a pepper spray or stun gun.

I stumbled upon this big stun flashlight which I felt would be handy. A flashlight stun gun would help me see far better when it is pitch-black and would also enable me to aim much better at the target. I fell in love with this gadget and made a decision to choose a stun gun then.

Stun guns discharge an electric shock to the receiver's body once actual contact happens. This shock will result in the attacker to fall to the ground for a few moments, giving you time to break free.

I also discovered a stun gun which was available in 3 voltages. What I liked about this one was that it was a small stun gun which I could easily bring around throughout my walks. Furthermore, I can easily conceal it in my hand, which offered the element of surprise.

It was important for me to get a weapon that would help me bring the attacker to the ground quickly. I knew I could attain that using a high voltage stun gun, which gives close to a million volts or even more. With higher volts, less shots are required.

A telescopic stun baton with a light as well as a loud 120dB alarm looked very cool as well. With everything in one device, I was sure that it would be all I need to keep me safe. Plus, its expandable feature would allow me to defend myself without getting too close to the enemy.

Whenever looking for a pepper spray or stun gun, it is all about preference. Similar to pepper sprays, all stun guns are non-lethal weapons and will not result in any permanent injury to the opponent.
